Happy Holidays 2009

It's the end of 2009 already! The year has flown by. Everyone always says that, but it really has! We have had so many great experiences as a couple in 2009. Even though the economy took a dump we still have a lot to be grateful for. We traveled to Seattle, Jackson Hole, Laramie, St. George, Cedar City, Santa Barbara (Renata) and Vancouver (Renata). Both of us are very busy with our careers and also our hobbies. Jeremy continues to Dj for cool parties and is busy with the family insurance agency, American Financial Insurance (www.afisnow.com). Renata is staying quite busy as an event planner at the Desert Springs JW Marriott (www.desertspringsresort.com).

For Thanksgiving we went to Renata's parents house in St. George, UT. We had a great time with the Woods family and can't wait to see Charles "Good Time Charlie" Woods for New Years and Sharon (Renata's Mom) the following weekend for the Palm Springs Dog Show. For Christmas we will be staying in the Desert and sharing wonderful memories with the Ferguson family and our favorite nephew Kannon Ball.

On another note...the pugs are still alive and causing havoc around the house and also the Woods residence in St. George, UT. Those crazy dogs are a handful! However, we do love them.

We wish you all a very merry Christmas and a productive New Year. We hope that your days are filled with joy, happiness, love and blessings.

Goodtime Charlie Came to Town

Renata’s eldest little brother, Charles came for a visit over Labor Day Weekend 2009. This was Charles first visit since turning 21 so it was a “Goodtime” all weekend, especially for Charles. These are only the unincriminating photos of Goodtime Charlie. While he was here Charles had his first club experience at Costa’s Night Club (Hotel where Renata work’s night club). Jeremy DJ there that night so Charles was his guest so he had the VIP experience….not to mention he hung out in VIP with the (3) Playmates who were the special guests that night. While Charles was here we also did a little shopping, watched an awesome LDS documentary – New York Doll the Movie (yes we got Charles to watch a Church Movie) and ate, ate and ate - Mambo Sushi, PF Changes, Burgers-N-Beer, IHOP. It was a “Goodtime” had by all!

Vacation August 2009

We recently went on a very long road trip, ultimately to Wyoming. We took off from the hot Desert in the little, packed A3 and made stops in St. George, UT (stayed with Renata's family and had a great birthday dinner for her dad), Cedar City, UT (stayed with our Cedar Friends who we miss), Lehi, UT at Thanksgiving Point (visit Jeremy's Aunts and Cabela's of course), Montpelier, ID (near Bear Lake) and the we finally arrived to our favorite place - Jackson Hole, WY. We stayed in the cutest little cabin right in town.

Jeremy fished, fished, fished and Renata relaxed, shopped and hung out with Kim, Kannon and Colleen who were also there over the same dates.

We enjoyed several great dinners and went to the Cowboy Restaurant and Bar. After 4 days in Jackson, we continued our Wyoming adventure by venturing to Laramie, WY where we stayed for (2) nights. We were there to celebrate Renata's Woods (Charles and Bonnie) Grandparent's 50th Wedding Anniversary. We were able to see almost the whole Woods family! It was so fun to see cousins, aunts & uncles and family we haven't seen in forever!

Then we had to make our way back home and to reality via Colorado. We stayed a night in Grand Junction, CO and then our final night in St. George, Ut with Tyrel (who was home as he had to start his senior year of high school so couldn't attend the Anniversary party). We arrived home to the hot desert and Renata had the pleasure of picking up the little puggies who had stayed behind this trip and lodged at the local canine spa where they played, ate, relaxed and enjoyed doggie spa treatments so it was back to reality for them too.

Seattle 2009

We went to Seattle for our 5 year anniversary. We had a nice time. Spend time walking, eating, walking, shopping, walking, sightseeing and walking. We were there for 5 days and it was sunny all 5 days (no rain) and was 75-80 degrees which was the best. We took a direct flight right out of Palm Springs so it was a easy, stress free long weekend get-a-way. We definitely will due it again. Can you believe we've been married for 5 years!?
Our Dinner Cruise and Jeremy got Renata another anniversary band...

To our Moms....

Today in honor of Mother’s day we wanted to write a little bit about our moms. If you’ve met them you know we have the best moms! We are so lucky!

To our Moms, Happy Mother’s Day today and everyday we want you to know how much we love you!

Renata’s Mom, Sharon, by Renata

I want to thank my mother for all that she has done me. I need to thank her for directing me in the right way to become the woman I am today. From her I’ve learned how important spending time with family is. I also learned the importance of inner-strength & when life presents you with a trial almost unbearable to stand – you can make it through. Thank her for all the simple times, silly times and fun times and for not giving up when presented with cancer. Thank her for being the loving, fun, perfectionist, bubbly, strong, funny, and spiritual person that she is. The lord truly blessed our family & I with my mother. I love you!

Jeremy’s Mom, Colleen, by Jeremy

I just want to thank my mother for being the best ever! She always has my best interests at heart and is the most selfless person I know. She is there for me anytime I need her. She is always thinking of me and how she can help make life easier. She has always been the guiding light for our family and has always been the center of our home. Cause without her, there would be no home. I love you mom! You really are the best ever. #1.

We are recovering.....

Stagecoach 2009 was this past weekend. We both went and met up with friends and co-workers. This year we saw Brad Paisley, Reba McEntire, Little Big Town, Darius Rucker, Danielle Peck, Zac Brown Band, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Kid Rock and Kenny Chesney. Yes, Renata drug Jeremy to a country music festival again for the second year in a row, all weekend long and he kind of likes it! Jeremy's favorite part was the corn dogs, burritos and Kid Rock. Renata's was all the food (BBQ and Corn Dogs) and of course Brad Paisley and Kenny Chesney! The weather was awesome and the music was great. We live just down the block from the Empire Polo Grounds where the concerts take place, so maybe next year you can join us for Stagecoach or Coachella Fest. We know how to party when it comes to concerts!
